Welcome to the 2016 – 2017 school year! The Cimino PTA’s mission is to assist our school in enabling our children to achieve their maximum potential. PTA programs are a great way to be a part of what goes on at Cimino — yearlong activities like taking pictures for the yearbook, as well as special events such as Santa Shop and Field Day. There are many opportunities for involvement, including those for working parents/guardians, as well as for those with small children at home (Dads, kids love to see you at school, too!). We also welcome our wonderful grandparents and other adult relatives! None of these functions would be possible or successful without the help of our Cimino family. Your volunteer commitment can be as great or as little as your schedule allows. Whether you can help out at school or from home, weekdays or weekends, any and all help is appreciated!
Please take a moment to review and complete this online volunteer interest form. Alternatively, you may print and return the PDF version to your child’s teacher. Your contact information will be added to the volunteer database and we will keep you updated with more details and reminders as the event or project approaches. We understand that schedules change, so please select any programs that interest you, even if you’re unsure of your ability to fully commit at this time.
This year we will once again be utilizing the website SignUp Genius to help us coordinate volunteer time slots and donations. The online process of signing up for an event is very simple, and you are not required to have a SignUp Genius account in order to participate. Only your name and commitment (time or donation item) is seen by other participants/invitees—no other contact information. You will not receive any e-mails (including spam) from SignUp Genius other than the specific event signup e-mail, any changes to the event signup, and a single reminder prior to the event. We hope everyone will find this online method a convenient way to see what’s available, what’s needed, and signup! If you have any questions about the signup process or privacy concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me or the organizing event chairperson for more information.
All on-campus volunteers are required by the school district to complete a Y.E.S. (formerly SERVE) volunteer application each school year. For the first time, this form is completely online. You can access this online form at http://serve.mysdhc.org. Even if you have volunteered in the past, please complete a new form for the 2016 – 2017 school year. You may not volunteer in any capacity on campus or on field trips without this form completed.
